Entry requirements and visitor passes

Jordan Ministry of Interior — visa e-applications: start here for the official service and applicable application process. Requirements depend on the traveller’s nationality and circumstances. Use the authority’s current instructions rather than applying advice written for someone else’s passport.

Jordan Pass — official FAQ: check package conditions, included visits and any visa-fee benefit. The pass is not itself a visa. Assess eligibility and the number of Petra visit days before buying; keep your purchase record accessible.

ALBaraka cannot confirm immigration eligibility through a rental enquiry. Complete those checks separately before finalising travel arrangements.

Flights and your arrival

Queen Alia International Airport — arrivals and departures: check the airport’s flight information and follow updates from your airline. Share changes that affect the car collection with the rental team.

Our arrival checklist helps you organise flight details, documents and your first drive. Your rental confirmation remains the source for the actual meeting and return instructions.

Destinations and site visits

Visit Jordan — Jordan Tourism Board: use the national tourism portal to explore destinations and build your own shortlist.

Visit Petra — opening hours and ticket information: consult these for the intended visit date. Seasonal schedules, access arrangements and ticket options should be checked close to travel.

Wadi Rum — official destination guide: explore the area, then confirm your specific camp meeting point, parking and transfer with the operator.

Dead Sea — official destination guide: research the destination and contact your chosen facility directly for access arrangements.

Weather, roads and current travel advice

Jordan Meteorological Department: check the forecast before longer drives and outdoor activities. Recheck when your itinerary changes.

Jordan Tourism Board — ground transportation: a useful overview of road travel and transport choices. Check driver-document requirements that apply to your own licence separately.

UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office — Jordan advice: official information for British travellers, including road travel. Travellers of other nationalities should also check advice from their own government. This directory is not a live declaration that every route or area is open.

Keep emergency and rental contacts separate

The Public Security Directorate publishes 911 as Jordan’s unified emergency number. Save it for emergencies. For a vehicle problem, collection query or rental change, use the assistance contact provided in your rental agreement.

For an ALBaraka enquiry, email bookings@barakacarrental.com or call +962 6 562 1113+962 7 9514 5444WhatsApp.

Save your hotel address, rental confirmation and essential contacts offline. Open the official links again shortly before departure, since a saved screenshot may no longer reflect the current instructions.
